The most west city in the Czech republic. First reference to Aš has been from 12th century. From the end of 14th century to 18th century the region of Aš was owned by the house of Zedvic. On the square there is the sculpture of poet J.W.Goethe (made in 1932 by R.Wetzela to 100. anniversary of his dead).
